State Debt Calendar

The Board meets every other month, on the Thursday after the third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November. A planning session comes first, on or before the second Tuesday of the month. Your filing deadlines count back from them.

Dates marked tentative are worked out from that schedule; BRB has not posted them, and the Board can change them. A notice or application filed late is considered at the regular meeting only with the approval of the Chair or two or more members (34 TAC 181.3(b)).

How each date is worked out: Notice of Intent to Issue Debt due: 12 business days before the planning session (34 TAC 181.2); Debt Application due: 10 business days before the planning session (34 TAC 181.3(b); 181.4(c)); Last revisions: 72 hours before the Board meeting's start (34 TAC 181.3(g)). Meetings follow 34 TAC 181.4. Times are Central Time. Business days leave out weekends and the days state offices are closed; dates are listed through January 7, 2028, the last day of the state holiday calendar.
